Playdough, Chalk, Dinner & Differential Diagnosis

It REALLY needs to stop raining. I’m starting to believe my best friend when he said that this could be my Forks ((allusion to the Twilight Series)). and i know he meant it figuratively. But c’mon, I’m taking it literally. I mean, the whole time I’ve been here i haven’t seen but one sunny day. Except maybe the first day I arrived, so I’m starting to question what the sun looks like.

This morning, the morning AFTER a thunderstorm, we lost power. I woke up my aunt asking if she could use my phone. Sure, i don’t really need it at 6 am, i’m not objecting. And so i went back to sleep, woke up around 8 and noticed my aunt still here. So the goats are disappointed that we can’t go outside because of this rain, and crappy weather, but they want to play playdough for the third day in a row. i’m not complaining, so their mom is still here as we get it out and Goat 1 is pounding out a surfboard shape and he comments how it looks like a surfboard and his mom says “Yes, it does, but what do the backyardigans say when they go surfing?” Goat one and Goat two simultaneously say “Ho daddy, Ho daddy!!” I couldn’t help but look at my aunt and chuckle just a lil bit. That’s pretty funny.

And, i’ve started watching House last night. All of season one! Well, i got through the first four episodes, my second best way of staying a lil bit sane while i watch the goats.

NOTE TO SELF: Kids like sidewalk chalk paint when the playdough gets boring. And they seem to like it A LOT! As do i… so… Sidewalk chalk paint + kids + me = FUN. I’ll remember that.

So, being the Goat Nanny is doing wonders on my tastebuds. Tonight the Goat Mother (my Aunt) made salmon. I was originally a little bit skeptical about it, but i’m open to eating new things. Never did i once think that I’d actually LIKE it this much. Cajun salmon is now amonst my favorite foods, like it’s up there with pastas and pizza as well as cherries. ^_^ Dead serious, i can’t wait to try other foods while i’m here this summer, it’s quite good for me.

And to finish off my night, I’m going to continue watching House, being amazed by the stunningness of Hugh Laurie as he is the most obnoxiously cool doctor on televison.

If you keep making it sound so amazingly cool, I’ll have people lined up next year volunteering for your job, you know :)

    KIDDING!

We’re so glad you’re here. The goats are having a great time, too. It’s 7:55 and they’re both passed out :)
