The Goat Nanny Diaries

Seriously. Nice day today. Except for the fact my room is about eighty or ninety degrees, but I’m not complaining, it’s better than going to bed freezing and waking up freezing. Goat 2 came up to my room a lil close to nine today to ask if she could have some cartoons. I happily obliged, picking her up and bringing her to her mom and dad’s room for some morning cartoons. Goat 1 was still asleep, so I headed downstairs and put some jazz on in the living room, curling up in the chair, trying not to fall back asleep. I wrote a lil in my own notebook, listened to Jazz. But i noticed the kids didn’t come down. Something wrong with this picture. No arguing, no asking for me… I was a lil worried. So i pop over to the staircase and check upstairs. Goat 1 still asleep. Goat 2 watching cartoons. Alrighty. i’m fine with that. I didn’t bother waking Goat 1 up (outta sheer laziness, because if i were in his shoes, i’d still be sleeping too), just curled up in the chair and went back to my writing. And as i was going to doze off (no, don’t worry, i didn’t), My uncle walked through the door. Alright. I’m like trying to keep my eyes open, but when i heard him i jumped up with a “Holy guacamole. It’s not 12 already is it?!?!” It wasn’t. It was only ten thirty. And the goats still hadn’t actually come down for breakfast. What’s wrong with this picture? Oh yes, peace and quiet. i’m not expecting this. i’m expecting to be on my toes, keeping them from fighting and getting them breakfast or playing a game. So as their dad heads upstairs, Goat 1 comes down and says to me “I’m hungry, Dad just kicked us outta his room, can i have a show.” YAY! Hungry Goat!!! I thought i’d be bored outta my mind with the peace and quiet. So i happily walked (okay loped or toe stepped. I never walk on my heel for some reason, its a force of habit i suppose) into the kitchen and got the Goats some yummy Cheerios and some for myself. After Brunch (calling it that because we didn’t end up eating until 10:45) I got SCHOOLED in Clue… and then in Candyland. The kid rocks at board games.

Around what should have been lunch time (aka 12) I let Goat 1 go play video games, got Goat 2 a lil something to munch on while I was on the treadmill and headed over to the treadmill. Season 3, Disc 4, Episode 1. Tomorrow it will be Season 3, Disc 4, Episode 2. Woohoo. slowly making my way through the last bits of House.
